With more than 60,000 households heated with log boilers since 1974, PERGE is a real reference on the French log boiler market.

The PERGE MC CI boilers are natural draft log boilers with high efficiency (ex.: MC 5.20 CI: 80.8%). Their original hydraulic design, which protects them from the dew point, and their functioning without electricity, a successful combination of simplicity and robustness, give them an excellent quality/price ratio.

MC CI: simple and compact

Electricity-free functioning

PERGE MC CI boilers do not require electricity for operation. Boiler temperature control and overheating protection are provided by thermostatic elements that operate under all circumstances. The anti-boiling quench coil is fitted as standard.
The PERGE MC CI boiler works without electricity.

Integrated hot water tank to gain space

A 316L stainless steel hot water tank with a capacity of 150 litres can be integrated into the PERGE MC CI boiler, without requiring additional floor space.
It is supplied with a thermostatic mixer tap which allows the temperature of the hot water to be regulated.
It can be installed at the time of the first installation or at a later date.
An optional 3.5 kW electric resistance produces hot water when the boiler is switched off.

A deep, easy-to-load firebox

The 56 cm deep refractory ceramic firebox can accommodate 50 cm logs. The 30 cm x 30 cm loading door makes loading easy.

In a conventional cast iron or steel boiler, the firebox walls hardly exceed the temperature of the water (70° to 80°). The firebox of the PERGE MC log boilers consists of a tubular heat exchanger embedded in a shell of reinforced refractory material, forming the firebox. The inner walls rise to temperatures of over 500°C, thus ensuring complete and clean combustion, without tar, even for damp logs.
Due to their design, PERGE MC log-fired boilers do not suffer from corrosion. Therefore, the installation of a 4-way mixing valve is unnecessary. A 3-way valve can be installed in the case of domestic hot water production or to manually regulate the temperature of the heating circuit.

With an accumulator tank to obtain its full power

PERGE MC CI boilers are high efficiency boilers.
Ideally combined with an accumulator tank, they provide full power with optimised efficiency without complex electronics.

Why choose wood ?

An energy that is contributing in the fight against global warming

Wood combustion does not contribute to CO2 emissions as it is a balanced process with CO2 absorption during wood growth.

An energy that is contributing to our independance

Forest covers a large area in our countries making wood the first renewable energy resource as an alternative to fossil fuels.

An underused energy resource

Only about 60% of the biological growth of the forest is used by the different players of the forestry and wood sector. The remaining 40% represents a tremendous reserves of energy.

An energy that is creating jobs

By definition, the production of wood energy is a proximity production. It greatly helps local jobs.

Manufacturer requirements

  • Chimney installations and Ventilation should conform to requirements of the Building Regulations and any approved local laws and all subsequent standards referred to.
  • A flue draught of between 17 and 22 Pa is required when running at rated output.
  • Additional flue pull shall require a draught stabiliser to be fitted to prevent over-firing.
  • Any pressurised system must have a sufficiently sized expansion vessel and a suitable PRV. In addition the integral anti-boiling quench coil must be connected to a suitable mechanisal safety valve.
